Dragon fruit, also known as pitaya, has a magenta leather-like skin with spiky scales. Their bright color comes from a pigment called betanin, the same substance that gives beets their dark red color. Ginger, well, it looks like ginger. It is known to calm stomach ailments. It also has anti-inflammatory effects and can be a great source of magnesium and potassium.
