This rare and beautiful tea is a woven tapestry of wiry, green leaves and fuzzy, white tips. The young, handpicked leaves and unopened buds are carefully chosen from the tea plants of the Taimu Mountains within China’s Fujian province. The infusion of which produces aromas of creamy, toasted nuts alongside fruity, floral notes. With a balanced astringency, the full-bodied flavor has an apricot sweetness that compliments the smooth nuttiness of the pan-fired leaves.

We recommend that this tea be enjoyed all on its own. You could add a bit of honey and you could pair it with a light and healthy breakfast, but it is best experienced uninterrupted.

Fun Facts:

Also known as Bai Mao Hou, Organic White Monkey Tea is unique to the Taimu mountains of Fujian, China. In this region, there are several unique varieties of the tea plant which are said to be the only plants capable of bearing genuine white teas. Our Organic White Monkey Tea is also distinct in that it is organic—a rarity in Fujian.
