Savoring Your Experience:
Dark Pearl Oolong is best enjoyed by steeping in an yixing teapot or a teapot large enough to let the leaves unfurl completely. Savor the way the brews change over multiple infusions.
During a mid-day meal, enjoy Dark Pearl with some vegetable quiche or soup and rustic bread. And for an afternoon snack, try it with crunchy almond biscotti.
Our Dark Pearl Oolong is cultivated in the Tai Tung Region of eastern Taiwan. Ample moisture and sunshine in the region provide ideal growing conditions. At harvest, the leaves are plucked and rolled by hand into their rough-hewn pearl form.
Oolongs are a complex creation. They may be fired in hot woks and quickly cooked. They may be fermented for various amounts of time. They are full bodied in flavor and aroma ranging from green and floral to dark and roasted with many notes between.
